FairConsent was born out of necessity. Across 500+ photo and video productions with local visual creators worldwide, Fairpicture put consent at the center of ethical storytelling. But in the field, one thing became clear: there was no digital tool that actually worked under real production conditions.
So we built one.
Shaped by continuous feedback from creators, clients, and agencies, FairConsent closes the gap between production and publishing — turning good intentions into documented, enforceable consent. What began as an internal solution quickly proved useful far beyond our own work.
Together with Oxfam, we co-developed and rolled out FairConsent globally — and today, it supports organizations working under pressure, at scale, and across diverse contexts.
We co-develop ethical consent practices and product features with leading NGOs, UN agencies, and experts - so the sector moves forward together.
Budgets are tight, but ethical storytelling still matters. The FairConsent Expert Group is a practical forum, not a think tank. Members share what works in real-world conditions, align on informed-consent standards, and co-develop FairConsent so withdrawals, rights, and contextual risks are handled correctly — even under pressure, and at scale.
A traditional Garifuna dance, known as La Punta. They often practice it anywhere they find themselves because it is part of their lifestyle and daily life. Today, it is known that no one dances the punta better than the Garifuna..This dance is a ceremonial funeral dance whose Garifuna name is Banguidi or Bunda, which has been shortened and adapted to the Spanish language, becoming known to everyone as La Punta.

Light commitment, real impact. Quarterly plenaries, optional working circles, and early access to pilots — all designed to respect limited time while shaping better consent practices.
